Crab Fishing at Doran Beach

Year 2004’s annual Fall outing was the crab fishing trip to Doran Beach on Sunday, October 25, 2004. In the early morning, while the sky was covered by the cloud, more than 20 families met at the Safeway parking lot on Laguna Boulevard. The journey took almost three hours of driving. By the time we got there, it was a sunny day. The team divided into two groups: the crab fishermen and lunch barbecue crew. Many of the crab fishermen were experienced ones because this was the second crab fishing trip the association organized. Soon before lunch, the first harvest crabs were sent to the barbecue table. So, lunch was served with Jianjun’s signature Korean BBQ and fresh cooked crabs. Kids were playing in the beach while grownups either enjoyed catching crabs or chatting at barbecue tables.

Doran 多倫海灘抓螃蟹

二零零四年的秋游是去多倫海灘抓螃蟹。十月二十四號星期天一大早，沙加緬度的上空還是烏云密布，仿佛要下雨，二十几家會員們已在Laguna 大道上的Safeway 超市停車場集合。 近三個小時的車途，穿過烏云和大霧，到達多倫海灘，那里是晴空万里，風平浪靜。到了那里，大隊分成兩組人馬：抓螃蟹的和燒飯的。 許多抓螃蟹的已是熟手，因為這里是舊地重游，已是聯誼會組織的第二次抓螃蟹活動。 不多會，已有人提來了戰利品螃蟹，給大廚們供貨。午飯大伙們吃的是陳建軍拿手的韓國烤肉和新鮮煮螃蟹。 吃完后孩子們在沙灘上玩，大人繼續抓螃蟹，或在餐桌旁聊天，享受秋日的海邊風景。
